Our Minivan Flat Rates are discounted from the regular meter rate and are a great way to go to and/or from lots of popular destinations. You’ll save money and enjoy peace of mind because these discounted, fixed rates don’t change if there’s bad traffic. You’ll also save time because, unlike the shuttles, we’ll take you directly to/from your destination.

Last-minute (on demand) calls are picked up based on availability and location.
Reservation pick-ups are priority dispatched.

Please keep in mind Minivan capacity when you book your Flat Rate ride:

Golf Flat Rates: Valid for up to 4 passengers with 1 golf bag each ($6.38 per bag)
Other Destination Flat Rates (no bags): Valid for up to 5 passengers.

Our meter rates are discounted from the rates set by the City & County of Honolulu between 5am and 9pm. At night, from 9pm to 5am, drivers will charge the full C&C approved meter rate.

Discounted Flat Rates are one way, per car, and do not include stops or route deviations. Valid for up to 4 passengers with bags (1 suitcase & 1 carry-on per person) or up to 5 passengers with no bags. Drivers are required by law to run the meter on Flat Rate trips and will adjust the final meter rate down to the appropriate Flat Rate at the end of the trip. Driver will charge regular meter rate for the trip if any stops or route deviations are requested. No other discounts apply to Flat Rates. Gratuity is not included in fares. Tipping is optional. If you’re satisfied with your driver’s services, a tip of 15-20% is appreciated.

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure any belongings in the main seating compartment of the vehicle are securely packed and fastened, and that any breakable items are protected while in our vehicles. Your driver, who is an independent contractor, and Charley’s Taxi assume no liability in the event of damage, loss or theft of any such property (including but not limited to luggage and golf bag wheels and handles) and will not be responsible for losses incurred, including but not limited to, loss of future profit, potential income, and additional expenses or losses incurred as a result of lost or stolen baggage or personal property.

4.712% State G.E. Tax is not included in Flat Rates. The Airports Division of the Hawaii DOT imposes a 7% Pre-Arranged Ground Transportation Pick-Up tax. This tax does not apply to airport drop-off services. Your driver may add this Hawaii DOT tax to the final* meter or Flat Rate fare.

* final fare means the meter fare after discounts are applied for military, seniors, and persons with disabilities. ID is required for military and senior discounts. These discounts do not apply to Flat Rates.

City and State park fees as well as parking costs (at hospitals and medical or business offices, for example) incurred in the process of providing transportation will also be added to your fare.

$6.38 extra charge for each bicycle, golf bag, surfboard or items over 80 pounds, more than 4ft in length, or over 10 cubic feet in size. Driver will charge $5.00 each for additional terminal drop-offs. A fuel surcharge of $2.60 per trip will be added to your fare.

Passengers who damage or soil the taxi will be responsible for the cost of repairs and/or OSHA compliant cleaning.

Due to traffic congestion and delays, Charley’s Taxi may suspend Flat Rates and revert to taxi meter rates on Halloween, Black Friday, and New Year’s Eve (from 4pm on 12/31 to 6am on 1/1). We may also suspend Flat Rates 2 hours before, during, and 2 hours following major Holidays, Sporting Events, Concerts, and major road closures.
