Flat Rate, Meter Rate, Priority Reservation, and VIP Package Terms

Flat Rate Booking:

Last-minute (on demand) bookings are picked up based on availability and location.
Pick-ups booked in advance are priority dispatched.
Discounted Flat Rates are one way, per car, and do not include stops or route deviations. Valid for up to 5 passengers with 1 suitcase & 1 carry-on per person, or up to 6 passengers with no bags. Drivers are required by law to run the meter on Flat Rate trips and will adjust the final meter rate down to the appropriate Flat Rate at the end of the trip. Driver will charge regular meter rate for the trip if any stops or route deviations are requested. No other discounts apply to Flat Rates. Gratuity is not included in fares. Tipping is optional. If you’re satisfied with your driver’s services, a tip of 15-20% is appreciated.

Not included in meter and flat rates:

$5.00 extra charge for each bicycle, golf bag, surfboard, or items over 80 pounds, more than 4ft in length, or over 10 cubic feet in size.
$0.75 per bag over the capacity stated above (ie. a 5th bag for a minivan, a 7th bag for a large SUV, etc.).
Gratuity is not included.
City and State park fees as well as parking costs.
Passengers who damage or soil the taxi will be responsible for the cost of repairs and/or OSHA compliant cleaning.

Vehicle Occupancy:

Sedan: 2-3 passengers with bags*
Minivan: up to 6 passengers (5 with bags)
Small SUV: up to 4 passengers with bags
Large SUV: up to 6 passengers with bags
Limousines: up to 7 passengers with bags
Sprinter Vans: up to 8 passengers with 8 bags
Navigator SUV Limousine: up to 7 with 7 bags
* Bags = 1 checked bag and 1 carry on per person

Regarding the possibility of delays and waiting times:

Last minute discounted flat rate airport pick-ups are dispatched “on-demand” and are based on availability of drivers.
We typically dispatch at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled pick-up time. Our goal is to be ready to pick you up 5-10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.
Though infrequent, during peak periods or when traffic is very heavy, discounted flat rate airport pick-ups may be delayed 10-20 minutes. Even if your pick-up is delayed, we will pick you up. Feel free to call 808-233-3333 to confirm or ask for an ETA.
Our VIP and Priority Reservation services pre-assign a driver to you. Your driver will monitor your flight’s arrival time and be standing by for you. We’ll provide your driver’s contact info to make coordinating your pick-up easier.
Weather, accidents, and parades that close streets or cause severe traffic delays are beyond our control.

Personal property (luggage, phones, strollers, etc.)

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure any belongings in the main seating compartment of the vehicle are securely packed and fastened, and that any breakable items are protected while in our vehicles. Your driver is an independent contractor. Charley’s Taxi assumes no liability in the event of damage, loss or theft of any such property (including but not limited to luggage and golf bag wheels and handles) and will not be responsible for losses incurred, including but not limited to, loss of future profit, potential income, and additional expenses or losses incurred as a result of lost or stolen baggage or personal property.

Due to traffic congestion and delays, Charley’s Taxi may suspend Flat Rates and revert to taxi meter rates on Halloween, Black Friday, and New Year’s Eve (from 4pm on 12/31 to 6am on 1/1). We may also suspend Flat Rates 2 hours before, during, and 2 hours following major Holidays, Sporting Events, Concerts, and major road closures.
